Feasibility Study of Sewerage in Suhareka Municipality and City
The objective of the project was to investigate and analyze optimal solutions for the collection and treatment of wastewater in the Municipality of Suhareka.
The project included several key components, such as the extension of the sewerage network, the maintenance and repairs of the existing infrastructure, the conceptual design of a wastewater treatment plan, and the implementation of an environmental awareness campaign.
The project involved an in-depth analysis of facilities and previous studies, with a specific focus on water and sewage management, particularly the collection and treatment of sewage.
Alternative solutions were thoroughly examined, taking into account the existing system configuration and capacities.
Furthermore, the project aimed to rehabilitate, repair, and enhance the efficiency of the existing facilities, along with implementing operational improvements. An important aspect was the expansion of the system, prioritizing cost-effectiveness to maximize its reach and impact.
Consideration was given to the operational and maintenance implications, particularly regarding the anticipated increase in electricity and other operating material costs. The project also assessed the potential benefits of implementing protection measures, such as demand management and reducing losses in the system’s capacity to ensure sustainability in the future.
Another crucial aspect of the project was the comprehensive collection of fundamental environmental information. This included assessing the current environmental conditions in the project area, with a particular focus on existing environmental resources and the risks they face.
