How HIDROING-DK thinks about water engineering — and why donor-financed programmes have returned to us for over two decades.
A wastewater treatment plant is not a deliverable that arrives on a truck. It is a fifty-year asset that a municipality, a regional water company and several generations of residents will rely on — and that the financing institution will return to audit, often a decade after handover.
Our engineering practice is shaped around that fact. Every assignment is staffed and structured so the same accountable team carries the project from feasibility through commissioning and operational handover — not just to the next milestone. The methodology that worked for one municipality’s master plan is the methodology we apply to the next municipality’s master plan, refined every project, abandoned for none.
When the data points to the harder, slower option, we recommend the harder, slower option. The cost of rebuilding wrongly-engineered infrastructure is paid by the public — not by the consultant. We treat that as a constraint on our recommendations, not a footnote.
“Twenty-five years, two hundred contracts, one methodology — refined every project, abandoned for none.”
— Practice statement
Same engineers on file from feasibility through handover. No knowledge transfer at milestone boundaries.
KfW, EU, World Bank, SECO frameworks are built into our methodology — not a checklist we run at submission.
Bilingual SQ/EN on-site presence with long-standing JVs with Lahmeyer, SRP Schneider, IGIP & Sachsen Wasser.
Continuous specialisation in municipal water and wastewater — not a side practice or recent pivot.
Twelve capabilities, grouped across the full project lifecycle. The same accountable team carries every assignment from feasibility study through testing, commissioning and operational handover.
A unified four-phase methodology applied across every water and wastewater assignment, refined over twenty-five years of donor-financed practice.
Independent third-party verification by Bureau Veritas across quality, environment and occupational safety — re-audited annually since 2016.
A formal environmental-management system covering ESIA delivery, donor environmental-social safeguards, and project-level environmental performance.
A health & safety management system covering office and site personnel — aligned with international standards for construction supervision and ESHS reporting.
Direct point of contact for technical scope, programme structure, ESIA and donor compliance on water and wastewater assignments.
